Recapping the trading week of July 6–10, 2026
Last Monday, silicon found its song, Broadcom and AI pulled hope along; The Nasdaq rose beneath a glowing sky, While traders asked how high was “too high.”
By Tuesday, doubt had crossed the floor— The chip parade could march no more. Micron stumbled, dreamers sold, And fear slipped softly through the gold.
On Wednesday, distant thunder spoke: A fragile peace with Iran broke. Oil climbed up; the Dow sank deep, While Broadcom gave the bulls some sleep.
Then Thursday brought the spark again— Micron promised plants and gain; Three bright points for the chip brigade, And AI’s faith was briefly remade.
On Friday, earnings called the crowd; The closing bell rang firm and proud. Near record peaks, the market stood, Still pricing profits as if all were good.
But Monday, July thirteenth, came With rising oil and fears aflame. The Nasdaq fell; the semis bled, While energy alone held up its head.
Now bulls count profits not yet earned, While bears recall how quickly tides have turned. The Fed, inflation, banks, and war All wait like shadows near the trading floor.
So Wall Street balances, brave but tense, On hope, momentum, consequence— A market high, yet looking down, Still wearing optimism like a crown.
